Growth and Development
National health quality is determined by the quality of individual health. Efforts for improving individual health can be early performed by monitoring infant health. Growth and Development are two crucial variables related to the infant health. The growth means increasing physical measures. The development refers to the development of more complexes in body structure, function, and ability. Infant growth and development monitoring is an effort to track children’s physical development and development landmark (milestone). The monitoring can be accomplished by regular measurements and assessments; and comparing them to certain standards. Monitoring can be a principal effort in identifying potential problems, allowing to have a planning of preventions as well as interventions.
An electronic infant weighing system has been designed to measure the physical variables (listed in Nomenclature) of the infant growth and development monitoring. The machine produces primary measurement data and stores the data in cloud database for the online growth and minitoring system that can be accessed by different users such, personal subjects, research scientists, clinicians, and health stakeholders.
